About Neuroblastoma

The treatment for Neuroblastoma depends on the stage at which it is diagnosed, the degree to which it has spread, and the organs it has spread to. For some cases that are caught early, treatment involves removing the cancerous tissue and monitoring the child. For cases where the cancer is not detected early, such as stage IV, treatment typically involves chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, and/or radiation.

Each child diagnosed with Neuroblastoma will have a treatment plan created for them based on their staging and risk and current clinical knowledge of treatment response; a pediatric oncologist will oversee treatment planning.
